Catalan Economy & Finance minister visits Quinn Plastics
The 20th June 2008 saw the visit of Catalan Economy & Finance Minister, Antoni Castells, to the Quinn Plastics manufacturing site in Montcada, near Barcelona. Minister Castells was accompanied by Mr. Cesar Arrizabalaga, Mayor of Montcada i Reixac, along with several other representatives from the Catalan Government and the Montcada I Reixac Town Council.
Prior to Minister Castells visit to Montcada, the Town Council agreed to nominate one local company to host this special occasion and bestowed this honour upon Quinn Plastics. Minister Castells and his group were very impressed by their visit to the manufacturing site with the production process in particular attracting their attention and admiration.
Both Minister Castells and Mayor Arrizabalaga paid tribute to Quinn Plastics for their continuous investment in the development of new products and applications. Minister Castells praised the good working relationship between Quinn Plastics and the local town council and urged this cooperation to continue.
Before leaving Minister Castells and his party were presented with a very fitting souvenir of their visit, a gift made from cast acrylic material manufactured on site at the Quinn Plastics factory.
Speaking after Minister Castell’s visit, Judith Sanz, Country Manager for Quinn Plastics Spain & Portugal, commented “ We were delighted and honoured that Quinn Plastics was chosen as the host company for Minister Castells visit to the area and I was extremely impressed with the questions he posed and overall interest that he showed during his time with us”.
